This is the Submission Area of Go Short – International Short Film Festival Nijmegen.
It is now possible to submit your short film for the eleventh edition of Go Short, which will take place from 3 till 7 April, 2019. Please read our regulations for all the requirements.
European, Dutch, Student and Youth Competition
The European Competition will consist of shorts in all categories that have been made in (geographical) Europe. The films are eligible for the Go Short Award for Best European Short in four different categories. The awarded animation, fiction and documentary films also receive an Academy Award Qualifier.
The Dutch Competition is a selection of films made in the Netherlands, from which the best film will be awarded with the Go Short Award for Best Dutch Short as well as an Academy Award Qualifier.
The Student Competition will consist of short films in all categories made in European film schools. The best film will be awarded with an Encouragement Award.
The Youth Competition consists of a selection of short films, in all categories, from the European, Dutch and Student competitions. The best film will be awarded with the Go Short Youth Award.
Out of all competitions one film will be selected as the Go Short Candidate for the 33rd European Film Awards 2019.
All films are also competing for the Audience Award.

Virtual Reality and Music Video Competition
New on the 11th edition of Go Short are two special competition programs: a Virtual Reality (VR) Competition and a Music Video Competition. Shorts that meet the criteria of these two competitions will compete for the first ever Go Short awards in these categories.
The film you submit is being screened by professional curators and programmers. In order to ensure the quality of the selection process we charge a fee of 9,50 euro per film submission for the European, Dutch and Student competition. Submissions for the VR and Music Video Competition will be charged 7 euro per film. The payment is done through PayPal.
